Free data tools for nonprofits

Find the donors you’re losing, without handing over your data.

Export a list from your CRM or email platform and drop it into one of these free tools. In a few seconds you’ll see lapsed donors worth a call, duplicate records, and contacts you can’t reach. The check runs in your browser, so your file never leaves your computer.

Pick a tool

Three checks, one promise: I never see your file.

Each tool is a single web page. Use it here, or download it and run it with your Wi‑Fi off.

For your donor database

Donor Data Health Check

A health score for your donor file, with the people and dollars that are slipping away.

Upload
A donor export (Bloomerang, Little Green Light, DonorPerfect, Neon, Salesforce). Add a gift history file for retention.
You get
Retention rate, LYBUNT and lapsed donors, a re-engage list, duplicates, and bounced or missing contact info.
For any contact list

Contact Duplicate Check

Find people you have twice, in one system or across your CRM and email list.

Upload
One or more exports from any CRM, donor database, or email platform such as Mailchimp or Constant Contact.
You get
Duplicate groups, people found in both systems, and duplicates where one copy unsubscribed but another is still on your list.
For Marketo + Salesforce

Marketo + Salesforce Duplicate Check

For organizations running both platforms, where records sync between systems and many contacts share an employer or campus.

Upload
Marketo people exports and Salesforce Lead and Contact exports.
You get
Duplicate candidates, expected sync links, and colleagues kept separate from true duplicates.
How I protect your data

You don’t have to trust me. You can check.

Most data tools ask you to upload your donor list to their servers. Ours can’t: there’s no server to send it to.

Nothing is uploaded

Your file is read by your own browser. Open your browser’s developer tools while you run a check and you’ll see no network requests.

It works with Wi‑Fi off

Load the page, turn off Wi‑Fi, then run the check. It still works, because nothing needs to leave your computer.

Export only what’s needed

Names, contact fields, and last gift date are enough. Leave notes, wealth screening, and giving details out of the file.

I built these tools so a small nonprofit can find the money it’s losing in an afternoon, without a data hire or a new vendor contract.
Free review or walkthrough

Want a second set of eyes?

A PhilanthroData volunteer will look at your website and analytics, or walk your team through your tool results. There’s no cost and no sales pitch at the end.

  1. Tell me a little about your organization. Two minutes.
  2. I reply within two business days with one specific thing I noticed on your website.
  3. If it’s useful, we set up a 30‑minute call to fix it with you.

What would help? Check any.

I use this to reply to you and follow up on what you asked about. I never ask for your donor data through this form.

Free access

Tell me who you are, and I’ll email you the tools.

I ask once. Your data file still never leaves your browser; only these details are sent to me.
