Helping the people who help others
PhilanthroData's mission is to give under-resourced nonprofits enterprise-grade data and analytics capability, and the skills to keep it running on their own.
Most nonprofits will never have the budget for a director-level data hire. PhilanthroData gives them that level of experience anyway, and leaves them able to keep it going on their own.
Why PhilanthroData exists
Too big for spreadsheets, too small for a data team
Plenty of nonprofits have outgrown spreadsheets. They run a CRM, a website, an email platform and maybe a dashboard or two. What they can't justify is a full-time data person to make those systems work together, so the numbers stay unreliable and reporting takes far more staff time than it should.
Large organizations solve this by hiring a data team. PhilanthroData brings that same experience to organizations that can't, one practical problem at a time.
Paid work funds help for everyone else
Organizations pay what fits their size
Rates are tied to annual budget, so larger organizations pay more and smaller ones pay less, all well below typical consulting rates. See pricing
A third of billing funds free help
A third of everything I bill goes toward subsidized work for small nonprofits that couldn't otherwise afford this kind of help.
Common fixes become free tools
When the same problem keeps coming up, I turn the fix into a tool any nonprofit can use. The first ones check donor and contact data for lapsed donors and duplicates, right in your browser. More will follow as patterns emerge. Try the free tools
Success means you don't need me
Every engagement ends with a handoff. One staff member gets a monthly checklist and a standing AI prompt that take about 30 minutes a month, so the work keeps paying off after I leave. Clients shouldn't depend on PhilanthroData, or any consultant, to keep their data working.
